7. mars 2020, fikk Terje Nicolaisen en kraftig prolaps som førte til en langvarig låsning i korsryggen. Vanligvis forsvinner slike smerter etter et par uker, men ettersom landet stengte ned på samme tid og dermed også Terjes faste treningssenter og badstue, satt prolapsen seg fast og den produktive kunstneren har til dags dato gått med ryggen i vinkel, med dertil følgende redusert arbeidskapasitet. Ikke desto mindre har Nicolaisen produsert 20 nye malerier der den motstridige, aldrende og sårbare kroppen er blitt et gjennomgående tema, i forsøk på å overvinne kroppens nådeløse begrensinger. Som Terje Nicolaisen selv sier det: «Alt jeg kan tenke på nå, er å danse!»
I tillegg har Nicolaisen lekt seg med anslag til en ny kleskolleksjon under merkenavnet NO. Kolleksjon består av kjoler, T-skorter, sjal og slips der noen kan brukes, mens andre er mer skulpturelle.
Terje Nicolaisen (f.1964) er utdannet fra Kunstakademiet i Trondheim og Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen og har gjennom to tiår hatt en lang rekke separatutstillinger, blant annet på Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, Kunstnerforbundet, Tromsø kunstforening, Tegnerforbundet, Kunstnerforbundet. Han har også deltatt på en lang rekke gruppeutstillinger blant annet ved Nasjonalmuseet, KODE, Kunsthall Oslo, Bergen Kunsthall, Momentum og i Høstutstillingen. Nicolaisen er også et av medlemmene i Tegneklubben. Han er en ettertraktet lærer ved blant annet Arkitekthøgskolen i Oslo, Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen og Prosjektskolen.
March 7, 2020, Terje Nicolaisen had a severe prolapse that led to a prolonged locking in the lower back. Usually such pain disappears after a couple of weeks, but since the country closed down at the same time and thus also Terje's regular fitness center and sauna, the prolapse got stuck and the productive artist has to this day walked with his back at an angle, with consequent reduced work capacity. Nevertheless, Nicolaisen has produced 20 new paintings in which the contradictory, aging and vulnerable body has become a recurring theme, in an attempt to overcome the body's relentless limitations. As Terje Nicolaisen himself says: "All I can think about now is dancing!"
In addition, Nicolaisen has played with estimates for a new clothing collection under the brand name NO. Collection consists of dresses, T-shirts, shawls and ties where some can be used, while others are more sculptural.
Terje Nicolaisen (b. 1964) graduated from the Art Academy in Trondheim and the Bergen Academy of the Arts and has for two decades had a large number of solo exhibitions, including at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, Kunstnerforbundet, Tromsø kunstforening, Tegnerforbundet, Kunstnerforbundet. He has also participated in a large number of group exhibitions, including at the National Museum, KODE, Kunsthall Oslo, Bergen Kunsthall, Momentum and in the Autumn Exhibition. Nicolaisen is also one of the members of the Drawing Club. He is a sought-after teacher at, among others, the Oslo School of Architecture, the Bergen Academy of the Arts and the Project School.
